Cellulari Samsung con lettura del codice a barre

Scanbuy, a global leader in mobile marketing solutions, today announced that it has secured a global agreement with Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. to preload the ScanLife mobile 2D barcode application on Samsung's camera phones. Samsung will begin selling these phones in Spain, Italy, and Denmark starting as early as next month. Availability will quickly expand to other major markets including Mexico and the United States. Si parla da anni (ricordo alcuni test del 2002) dei codici a barre 2D che permettono di inserire informazioni, come ad esempio l'url di un sito web. Cameraphone più codice a barre 2D più connessione Internet mobile uguale possibilità di inserire nelle riviste, nelle pubblicità, sugli scaffali, sulle confezioni e così via i barcode 2D. Il cellulare va puntato sul barcode, l'applicativo riconosce le informazioni contenute nel codice e automaticamente apre la pagina Web relativa a quel codice a barre.

Samsung ricicla cellulari e toner

Partirà il primo ottobre il programma di Samsung dedicato al riciclo di cellulari, toner e altri rifiuti 'da ufficio':

Mentre Nokia pensa a N-Gage, Samsung va con il G810

E' in fase di pre-release la nuova piattaforma N-Gage (la nuova console N-Gage non uscirà: ne sono convinto da tempo, anche se Nokia aveva cercato di smentire un mio articolo sulla vicenda).

A pre-release version of Nokia's new N-Gage gaming platform is now available for Nokia N81 users. N-Gage First Access lets N81 owners download the pre-release version of the N-Gage application (through which all N-Gage activity takes place) and try and buy select N-Gage games. La società finlandese si concentra quindi sul mobile gaming e, visti i risultati finanziari pubblicati nei giorni scorsi, probabilmente non è troppo preoccupata dell'avanzata di Samsung (sicuramente tiene la rivale nel mirino).

Dal canto suo, la casa coreana percorre con il G800 la strada già percorsa, ad esempio, con il P600/P550. Prima la versione Windows Mobile e poi la versione Symbian (a proposito, sto usando il Samsung P550 e devo dire che sono molto soddisfatto, rimarrà probabilmente per qualche mese il mio telefono "ufficiale"sul lavoro ).
